Lost was a collaborative animation, the story was created by Rogelio Hinojosa and a group of 11 people animated it under supervision of John Nguyen. During the entire project I worked on prop and terrain modeling, storyboarding and pre-visualization. I helped detecting continuity problems and reported problems with the rigs.

Initially I worked on three shots like the rest of the team, but since I finished sooner than expected, I was assigned a shot that was left over. With these shots, I only worked with a video reference and no sketches, contrary to the previous animations.

Before the rigs were finished, I tried the default customization options on the Bishop rig to explore some poses and facial expressions (see images below), but eventually we went for a full customization of the Bishop rig which was done by other students.

Throughout the project, the rigs were replaced a couple of times which forced us to transfer our animation from one to the other. Luckily this gave no big problems, but it did allow us to detect problems with the rig and have them fixed incrementally.

Below on the left is a video reference I made for the first three shots. On the right is an early blocking version of the first three shots.

Here's the final version of my shots, with one shot of another animator in between for continuity:
